About Leuven

Leuven is a lively university city east of Brussels, home to KU Leuven — the oldest Catholic university in the world, founded in 1425. The city punches well above its weight with its stunning Gothic town hall, the Oude Markt (claimed to be the longest bar in Europe), and the global headquarters of AB InBev, the world's largest brewer.

Compact and walkable, Leuven combines academic prestige with a youthful, energetic atmosphere. Its streets buzz with students, its restaurants innovate constantly, and its beer culture is second to none.
