ARoS Aarhus Art Museum
One of Northern Europe's largest art museums, famous for Olafur Eliasson's "Your rainbow panorama" — a circular rainbow walkway on the rooftop with stunning city views. World-class contemporary art.
Den Gamle By (The Old Town)
An open-air museum recreating Danish town life from the 1700s to the 1970s. Costumed actors, working workshops, and authentic period interiors. One of Denmark's most visited attractions.
Moesgaard Museum
Stunning museum of archaeology and ethnography with a grass-covered rooftop you can walk on. Home to the Grauballe Man, a 2,300-year-old bog body. Architecture alone is worth the visit.
Aarhus Cathedral (Aarhus Domkirke)
Denmark's longest and tallest church, dating from the 12th century. Beautiful medieval frescoes inside and an impressive 96-meter nave. Free entry.
Marselisborg Palace
The Danish royal family's summer residence. The palace gardens are open to the public when royals are not in residence. Watch the changing of the guard at noon during royal visits.
The Latin Quarter
The oldest part of Aarhus with narrow cobblestone streets, boutique shops, cozy cafés, and vibrant street life. Center of the city's cultural scene. Perfect for an afternoon stroll.
