About Haapsalu

Haapsalu is a picturesque seaside town on Estonia's western coast, historically famous as a spa and resort destination favored by Russian aristocracy and even Tchaikovsky, who composed here during his visits. The town is built around a stunning medieval bishop's castle and surrounded by calm, shallow bays that warm quickly in summer.

Known as the "Venice of the Baltics" for its seaside promenades and gentle atmosphere, Haapsalu charms visitors with its wooden architecture, craft workshops, and the legendary White Lady ghost that supposedly appears in the castle window on full-moon August nights.
