About Pärnu

Pärnu is Estonia's beloved summer capital, a charming coastal city on the shores of the Gulf of Riga. Famous for its long sandy beach, elegant spa hotels, and relaxed atmosphere, it has been a popular resort destination since the 19th century. Every summer, the city's population swells as Estonians and visitors flock to enjoy the sun, sea, and festivals.

Beyond the beach, Pärnu offers a pleasant Old Town with colorful wooden architecture, leafy parks, and a growing arts scene. The city is compact and easily explored on foot or by bicycle.
