Jūrmala
About Jūrmala
Jūrmala is Latvia's premier seaside resort, stretching 32 km along the coast of the Gulf of Riga. Famous for its white sandy beaches, wooden Art Nouveau villas, and pine-scented air, it has been a beloved getaway since the 19th century. Just a 25-minute train ride from Riga, it combines beach relaxation with spa culture and nature.
The town is actually a string of small resort villages — Majori, Dzintari, Bulduri, and others — each with its own charm. Jomas iela in Majori is the lively pedestrian heart with shops, cafés, and street performers.
