Ventspils
About Ventspils
Ventspils is a clean, well-maintained port city on Latvia's western Baltic coast where the Venta River meets the sea. Known for its family-friendly attractions, colorful cow sculptures dotted around the city, and an excellent Blue Flag beach, it is one of the most pleasant small cities in the Baltics. The city has invested heavily in tourism infrastructure, making it a model of civic pride.
As Latvia's busiest port, Ventspils has a maritime character that permeates the city — from the Livonian Order castle to the waterfront promenade and seaside aqua park. It's a fantastic destination for families and anyone seeking a relaxed Baltic getaway.
