Remich, often called the "Pearl of the Moselle," is a charming wine town on the banks of the Moselle river in southeastern Luxembourg. It is the heart of Luxembourg's wine-growing region, producing excellent Riesling, Pinot Gris, and Crémant sparkling wines. The town's beautiful riverside esplanade, lined with restaurants and cafes, gives it an almost Mediterranean feel on warm summer days.

Moselle Riverside Esplanade

Caves St. Martin
Historic wine cellars carved into the limestone cliffs above Remich, specializing in Crémant de Luxembourg sparkling wine. Guided tours take you through the chalk tunnels where millions of bottles age. Tasting included.
Moselle Wine Route (Route du Vin)
A scenic drive or cycling route along the Moselle from Schengen to Wasserbillig, passing through picturesque wine villages. Remich is the perfect base. Stop at local wineries for tastings of Riesling, Auxerrois, and Pinot Gris.
Schengen (European Museum)
Just 10 km south of Remich, the village of Schengen is where the famous Schengen Agreement was signed in 1985. The European Museum tells the story of European integration. Stand at the point where Luxembourg, France, and Germany meet.

Well-marked trails wind through the sloping vineyards above Remich, offering panoramic views of the Moselle valley and Germany beyond. The Sentier des Vignerons is a popular 6 km circular route with information panels about winemaking.
Wormeldange & the Koeppchen
A nearby wine village with the famous Koeppchen hillside, home to Luxembourg's most prestigious Riesling vineyards. The annual wine and grape festival in September is a lively celebration.
