Subotica
About Subotica
Subotica is a stunning Art Nouveau gem in northern Serbia, just a few kilometers from the Hungarian border. The city's unique character stems from its multi-ethnic population — Serbs, Hungarians, and Croats have shaped its culture, cuisine, and architecture for centuries. Its ornate buildings, painted with Zsolnay ceramics and floral motifs, give it a fairytale-like appearance unlike anywhere else in Serbia.
Nearby Lake Palić, a popular resort destination, adds to the city's appeal with beaches, promenades, and a zoo. Subotica is wonderfully off the beaten path and offers a fascinating blend of Balkan and Central European culture.
