About Lund

Lund is one of Sweden's oldest cities, founded around 990 AD, and home to the prestigious Lund University (est. 1666). This compact, walkable city in southern Skåne exudes academic charm with cobblestoned streets, medieval buildings, and a vibrant student culture that makes it feel alive year-round.

Despite its small size, Lund punches well above its weight in culture, history, and innovation. The Romanesque cathedral, charming botanical garden, open-air museum, and buzzing student life make it a perfect day trip from Malmö or a rewarding destination in its own right.
